post Category: youth christian speakers — admin @ 9:44 am — post Comments (12)

ok so ive heard a couple speakers say this and i know a lot of people know this but they say God doesnt hear the prayers of non christians the only prayer he hears is the one where they ask him to be a christian and accept him into their hearts but that leads me to this I know a lot of sports teams filled with non christians pray and like know sometimes coaches or assistants are so if they pray it makes sense and its ok but idk the girls jv field hockey prays before the game and my gf’s on it and im a christian but shes working on it she coems to church and goes to youth group and all that stuff and she wants to so i hope it’ll happen soon but i know the people on her team and they just do some..bad things and then she told me in a text sorry lol i was praying with my team and idk it just ticked me off idk why sorry that sounds real bad but im just wondering what your thoughts are about teams that do this?

We are all God’s children, and he hears and answers all of our prayers. I don’t know how much he cares about the outcome of sporting events, but we can pray to be safe, to have good sportsmanship, to be good examples, etc.

If you want to know for sure why don’t you ask God. He might just answer you.

I didn’t know god was a sports fan. What would he do if both teams pray?

God only hears the sinners prayer for salvation.
After that He hears their prayers.
In that order.

Yes, non Christians can pray. When we die, we go to the same Heaven, and all prayers prayed in earnest go to the same God.

God hears all prayers, but I doubt that He has favorites when it comes to sports.

Waste of prayer time. Let’s say the other team also prays. Does God let the team win that prays the most? I think God has more important prayers to consider.

Who are you to say those who are praying are not Christians? You are very mixed up about what it takes to be a Christian. So Christians do not do bad things? I’m sorry, but we are all sinners, Christians as well. You’ve been sucking on the milk too long, and now it’s time to chew on the meat of truth. And if you are not getting truth from your Church, maybe it’s time for a change.

Well he definitely listens to the Christians! lol I think that God maybe hears your prayers if you are a non Christian (but why would you pray if you are not a Christian) but doesn’t answer them. If you pray to Jesus, you are a Christian. If you don’t pray, you are not. I am sure those people on the teams who aren’t Christians who "pray" really aren’t praying at all. They are just saying the words but not meaning them.

Personally I happen to believe that there is only ONE GOD. Someone might know Him or perceive Him in one way and someone else in another or call Him by another name. I don’t think He is so egotistical to think that ALL PEOPLE must know Him in precisely the same way, the same form, the same theological concept etc, etc OR He will refuse to hear their prayers! That is not the omnipotent eternally loving merciful Father in Heaven that I know and honor and obey in faith.

I think He hears all prayers and knows in His vast perfected glory that we are flawed, weak, so pathetic and so lost most of the time so He gives us each credit where credit is due and helps, guides and directs all who attempt to find, seek, reach for, cry out to Him with sincere hearts and good intentions….

I think all praying is good. At least they talk to God.
