Is there a modern-day book author or speaker who discounts the concept of God sending His children to burn in Hell, and who accepts that even people who do not "accept" Jesus might be precious in God’s eyes?

.

A Course In Miracles, said to be the words of Jesus, does not speak of hell. It speaks of all else, but hot hell.

Also Dialogue in Awakening, (also Jesus) has no mention of hell.

I believe hell to be a man-made concept from days long gone by when there were many myths and strange beliefs.

Joel Osteen and Sylvia Browne.

Really she’s not, she has her own church and she’s always talking about God in her books and when she was on Montel. She may not be a preacher but that wasn’t the question, the guy said "Christian author or speaker" so she does count. By the way, just because she’s psychic, doesn’t mean she’s not Christian if that’s what you’re trying to infer.

Joel Osteen.

2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

@edboogie: Do you even know who Sylvia Browne is? She’s not a preacher of religion.

Start with Joel Osteen.

That is why I do not listen to him, he only preaches HALF the Bible, if he even preaches from the Bible at all. Just as people will see God’s perfect love, they will also see His perfect wrath. Why are you trying to hide from that aspect, instead of learning from it? When the time of tribulation comes, will you be among those who wail and cry against an "unjust God," when He has clearly given us warnings?

A course in miracles, it says only the love is real, the rest is illusion. But mainstream fundamentalist christians would say it was new age.Your telling me god cant update the message to be more user friendly in the now?Considering in the uk less than 2 percent go to church!

When God first revealed Himself to me He had every right to condemn me and to sic His wrath on me. He looked straight through me and I could hide nothing. He saw that I was a murderer and rapist and liar and worse and He embraced me with perfect love and forgiveness. Most Christians would say the pain and punishment will come later when He shows His Wrathful side. But they no longer frighten me with that nonsense.
"I have this suspicion that our God’s love is so overwhelming, so sweet, so vast compared to notions of karma and justice that we will laugh into all eternity at the soberness with which we led our lives."

Ralph Rogers

The fulfillment of the Law turned out to be Love. Next comes the beating some say. If they are right, I’ll just stay here in hell.

Many Christians do not take their understanding of hell from pop culture. Start with this website:
