Frank Shelton & Meadowlark Lemon
This episode of “Frank & Friends” was taped on March 29, 2009 @ First Baptist Church of Accokeek. Frank first met Meadowlark in 1985 (age 13) at the old Capital Centre. The legendary HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS were in town and Frank’s friend, Patt Cottman’s mother won a radio contest on WPGC 95.5 FM and they selected 100 youth to come two hours before the doors opened and Frank was one of those 100 kids to shoot on the floor (home of the former Washington Bullets).
For a kid to play on a NBA court with Meadowlark Lemon, Curly Neal and the renown HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS was a dream come true. Presently, Meadowlark is an ordained minister and evangelist of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His basketball and Bible have taken him to minister in over 92 Countries and ever state in America. In 2003, Meadowlark was inducted into the HALL OF FAME. Meadowlark asked Frank to consider hosting a BASKETBALL CAMP in So Md this summer for local youth to learn about the Game of Basketball and how true success comes only after having a personal relationship with Jesus!
